Talking points
• Brian Brown debut? Quincy time?
It's the blog's understanding that Brian Brown and Quincy Amarikwa are both expected to appear in tonight's match. Brown has been waiting for clearance on his immigration status, while Quincy has been getting some rest over the last few games.
We'll see how true this is once the starting 11 drops.
Update: Brian Brown in the starting XI, Quincy not in the lineup.
• Can the momentum continue?
Here's an excerpt from today's match preview: Roots won seven points in their first 13 matches, and have won 20 points in the following nine, starting with that 2-1 win against Los Dos.
The Roots had eight goals (six coming in back-to-back weeks against Sacramento and LA) in those first 13 matches, and 16 in the nine since.
This is the perfect opportunity for Roots to put a stamp on its push to the playoffs.
